Macro focus! At last you can use the instruction book for your digital camera! I have a Canon PowerShot AS590is, and it's not a super high tech camera, but even with that I was able to eventually learn to take well-lit, high detail photos. I also made myself an on-the-cheap lightbox out of foamcore, tissue paper, posterboard, and desk lamps. I highly recommend using one for white background photos.
